Space2b recognises that many newly arrived migrants have enormous creative talents and skills, which with training and support, can be utilized to start their own enterprise to become financially independent. These emerging artists and designers work side-by-side with established designers, exchanging ideas, making connections, building language skills to become part of the Australian designer community.

‘Space2Fly is a personalised mentor and training program in art and design, which includes creative and business development, for newly arrived migrants and refugees, which enables them to become creative business owners.

READY TO FLY 2016

In 2016, The City of Greater Dandenong kindly funded and ran the satellite program 'Ready to Fly', a personalised mentor and training program in design and business development to support refugees with creative skills to become small business owners.   Developed with and for newly arrived creatives, the program is a platform to form connections, get real life work experience and work side-by-side with established designers.
