Designer Market + Farmers Market 9-1 am
Meet me at the Market offers over 20 stalls of Australian designed products and beautiful gifts from local established and new migrant designers and artists.
As a joint event a Farmers Market will delight the senses with fresh seasonal produce from Victorian farmers.
Basket Weaving $20 10-12.30pm
Abuk from South Sudan will teach you the ancient art of basket weaving using coloured raffia and beautiful wools and fibres. Abuk will get you started and help you weave your own placemat or
basket. Suitable for beginners and all materials supplied
African Beading $20 10-12pm
Join Saida to make an african inspired necklace using seed beads and traditional beading techniques. Saida learnt from her childhood growing up in Rwanda. The beautiful bright colours used in african cultures will inspire you to make something unique and special.
Cultural Dance $15 12.30-2pm
Join Vanessa on a movement journey that will shake your soul into serenity and move your limbs into a refreshed state of elated fun. The tunes are curated to keep you moving and the directions are minimal to help you take the initiative and do it your way.
Inspirational forum and Q&A $20 2-4pm
The Festival culminates in an afternoon of inspiration with storyteller, Mariam Issa (co-founder of Resilient Aspiring Women (R.A.W) and Space2b) and spoken word poet, Abraham Nouk plus special guests.
These speakers will mesmerise and inspire you.
