Dinner with Friends
Each month Space2b will be hosting an exclusive cultural dinner with a special guest cook or chef. ‘Dinner with Friends’ allows guests to enjoy the food from our cooks' country along with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country's unique culture.
Home and Belonging Book Launch
A special evening of literature, food and drink, aptly named Home and Belonging. Our guests, Pirooz Jafari, author of Forty Nights and Janine Mikosza, author of Homesickness will discuss their books and basically have a ‘heart yarn about home and belonging’.
The Art of Belonging Spoken Word Poetry
An exploration of home, settlement and connection and how we find belonging in an unfamiliar place. Enjoy thought-provoking performances by three established spoken word performers complemented by the work of emerging young poets from St. Kilda Primary. Mural by artists Be free and Suki.
Spoken
A mural art project that aims to tell visual stories of diversity. This project was created by ONDRU in partnership with Space2b. It focuses on providing a voice for women who are connected with Space2b to share their stories on identity and resilience. The stories have been told directly by the women or in some cases shared together with family members.

Come Walk With Me (2018)
Space2b celebrates Refugee Week with Mariam Issa as she leads a Q&A session with three resilient and inspiring artists and designers who have overcome amazing odds to become the people they are today.
We Are Connected (2018)
A vibrant evening of shared stories, comedy and food in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. Showcasing comedy performances from laugh-out-loud-funny celebrity comedians, Judith Lucy and Denise Scott and actress Clare Larman, the night will certainly be a laugh a minute.
Get Striped Inclusion Project
100 Stripey Monkeys for Acceptance & Respect is a community inclusion project that has involved newly arrived migrants and community members working together over the past six months to make stripey monkeys from recycled materials.
Get Striped Forum (2017)
Space2b’s Get Striped Forum is a welcome reminder that despite the stigma towards migrants and refugees, social inclusion and cultural celebration are well and truly alive in the heart of St Kilda. Join us for an afternoon of inspiration; humility and passion.
